We rolled into downtown Baltimore around 1:30 am. My broken toe was no longer holding up, so I waited in the car while my friend snapped a few pictures, then we headed to my ex-roommate's for the night. Here are a couple cursory shots of the city from my trip there last year.

Coming soon, Part 4 of 4, a little East Coast action on the final leg of what turned out to be a super awesome midwest road trip!

Last part of the trip, the East Coast leg from Baltimore back up to Boston.

Somewhere in Maryland/Delaware

New Jersey tries to bolster its image by sprucing up its power lines

That's it for Jersey, not because I dislike Jersey (I kind of definitely do) but because it was my turn to drive!

We swerved at the last second to miss this tire

Some lake off the Mass Pike (Route 90), I think near Framingham

Almost back. I'm very sad, it's been such a good time!

Although this guy did not have a good time

Boston is back in sight! This trip is over!

I will leave you off with a couple bonus shots of Boston, from my original thread 2 years ago.

Well, that's it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I put a lot of time into this one. Comments are always appreciated, and will save this thread from early entry to the scrap heap!

I really enjoyed this tour. I recently went on a trip that used some of the same routes yours did (Madison >> Washington DC) and some of the scenery looked very familiar. Hope your toe is better.

Thanks much for the many pictures from several of our excellent cities out here in the great Midwest! A lot of these cities were growing at their strongest rates in the mid 1800's - through early 1900s -- and there are some beautiful structures and city layouts that were constructed during those times. Glad you caught a lot of them --- and also many of the newer structures and projects as well. Love the shots of the cornfields and barns also. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Lots of good stuff you captured --- and of course plenty more good things that didn't quite get captured by your camera. That's ok though. You did an excellent job for such a quick, whirlwind trip.

Great thread. It's nice to see someone from the east coast taking interest in midwest cities!

I got a chuckle out of your enthusiasm for the wind farm. I guess you don't have those in New England?
