I decided to take some time and add this building to a game I am making in CryEngine 3, here are the results




















Some of the images came out fuzzy after resizing them, so let me know if you wan the 2500x1600 version

Well, I am actually using the Crysis 2 mod sdk which is a version of CE3, you can download that here http://www.crydev.net/dm_eds/download_detail.php?id=3

Looks fantastic. The building actually fits into the skyline much better than I'd have thought .

I actually took the very small Times Square level from Crysis 2, and I am expanding it to include most of midtown NYC, and that is just the first level. The storyline is similar to some books like 1984 or Brave New World, but if you want to know more I will put a link to the mod in my sig.

Do you guys want to see more pics of it ?

I guess that's your impression how you would like it to be (since you don't like it so much), because there are major differences between this and original design.

Windows should be square (or close to square), while this one has rectangular making probably something like twice the floors this tower will have in fact.

Spacings should be much taller. This is probably caused by the change mentioned above (floors are half as tall as they suppose to be so the spacings are also half as tall they should be).

Spacings should be empty spaces. I'm not sure if they are on this render, but we know they will be lit at night and they are not here.

wile vertical beams are as wide as they supposed to be horizontal are almost not visible while they should be as wide as the vertical ones making distinctive "fat" grid.

I'm also not sure of the color of the grid but it looks to be black/dark while it should be white.


I think thats all.

And also it's far from being accurate but I have to say it looks quite nice

Yeah, all I did for this was take an asset that was already in the engine, add it to my level, and change it up. I can make a much closer version, even a replica. But this looks better then the real version. But I will make a replica of the real version if everyone wants that.

It definitely does... The bands should be darkened like in your render instead of lit up.

Well that's the whole point of spacings, that they have to bee visible and not darkened
