I don't think that we won't have to wait long before we will see the footprint of the tower.
yep, looks like the core will have very thick walls.

Judging from the blueprints of the underground floors the core will not be this thick, it looks like it will only be the foundations that are this big.

Now they are even pouring concrete into the core area, it seems to be going fast right now.

Are people watching the concret pour right now? It is amazing. They are passing buckets of concrete from excovator to excovator to get it to where they pour it?!?!?!? Bizarre. Never seen this before.

I have not seen this before either. Pretty cool. They are pooring just left of the hole in the middle.

Yup, watching it The aquaduct of concrete is fascinating. Since that is not the core, nor the perimeter columns I guess that is the slab of the bottom underground floor

What I love most about the 56th camera is that there is a branch of a tree in the picture and from that one can determine the current wind conditions. So far it isn't very windy, but I guess that can change very quickly. I hope they'll manage to pour all they need before the storm comes

Crazy how quickly the building's core is taking shape at the moment. Hopefully it will be completed within a week or so? They have made amazing progress on most of the site.

THe branch sure is blowing now I guess they wisely wrapped up early.

EDIT: they better have some strong pumps They have puddles big enough for someone to drown in now.

Hey Dan did you see that little mention I gave about Fred Dibnah on your industrial revolution thread?
You may find him of interest if you don't already know of him.
