Hi Dino, nice updates....but, why in B&W? I preffer true and informative real colours instead of some artistic view.

I was about to say that. I like professional photos and I even like artistic photos like those made for wtc complex. But this is still just a construction site and b&w pictures lost a lot of information which is quite annoying. Hopefully someone in charge reads these forums.

Very common in NYC that building will have official address based on the Avenues but actual entrance on the Streets (for those of you who do not know in midtown avenues run north south streets run east west...)

they have turned the corner and now forming footings for south perimeter tower columns...getting a bit cramped down there for those mobile cranes

Cities like Dubai and Shanghai are building skyscrapers left and right purely on demand how can you beak confident that New York City is in its own league? New york city has the world best architecture fo sho (IMO) but there's huge growth in Asian countries.

there not actually purely for demand, look at dubai the burj khalifa if it was all demand they wouldnt have went almost bankrupt, shanghai the demand is there but the rest of china its really not neccesary to build massive skyscrapers they just do it for a statement, so what the guy said is true nyc is on its own league, because nyc is actually all demand and not for show

This entire website seems to have an unexplainable bias against boxy buildings for some reason.

NYC has already developed, while countries like China and UAE are still developing economically. They need the skyscrapers to kick-start industries whereas USA already has them.

Uh...

Anyway, NYC is indeed back to building on demand, but that's only partially true. Many of the biggest office projects currently proposed are speculative.

That is the Coach tower if I'm correct.

The HY is zoned for many supertalls that I did not even bother to mention because they won't be built for years. He may have been referring to the third office tower which will rise on the West side of the Yards or to the site owned by Sherwood Equities which is zoned for about 2.5m sf of space, as is the current site on W34th that Coach will vacate when its new tower is finished.
