They are flying with this. Looks like they have the white material on top now so they should be getting close to the concrete pour - maybe early next week. Those excavators have less and less space.

There is a pad on the bottom (next to 56th Street) that sure does look like it could be for a tower crane.

All this is absolutely captivating to watch.

A concrete truck is waiting on 56th to deliver it's load, I wonder where they are going to pour the concrete right now.

7 minutes later,

It's the crane footing.

Yup, that's probably crane footing. It's right next to the tower, it's on the side where they won't build anything so it has clear way all the way to the top, there's free space right next to it to deliver materials.

I know New Yorkers don't have cars or dont use them in the city, known fact. But where would you park your sports car? (Ferrari) A satellite garage. Valet bring your car? Anyone that can afford to live her must have a limo driver. I am not from New York of course. What are the costs of the top floors $20-40 million.

Actually, around half of NYC's residents own at least one car.

And no, 432 Park's top floors will sell way higher than $20-40 million. One57's top floors are going for $90+ million, and this building will have many floors above that (price and height).

I honestly didn't ask him, he's pretty blunt, I'll ask him the next time I speak to him.

It's nice to see a clear outline of the core. Now that I see the space between the core and the perimeter columns, it doesn't look as small as one thinks after seeing the renders. I think the apartments will have quite some square meters. Also, for comparison, 157 or Beekman are thinner from some angles, so while having a huge height to width ration, I don't think one can say that this building is thin

Yesterday was a day on the road for me, so no report until now. Reviewing the webcam just now, I see workers working O/T on one of the south tower footings, presumably installing rebar. The center of the core rebar has been placed, along with waterproofing installed around the core. The southwest portion of the site has been graded, and it appears that crushed stone has been applied. The large pad near the 56th Street perimeter wall has been poured.

Where is the location for the tower crane, in the core?

I think it is on the right side of the perimeter columns that is below the top left perimeter column, but I'm not sure

I doubt tower crane will climb through the core. I think tower crane footing is down left of that huge excavator.

yeah, very rare would you see a tower crane inside of a concrete building.

much more feasible in steel buildings because leave out steel can be incorporated into the design.

It amazes me how they're able to get cranes into and out of that construction hole

i'm assuming thats the purpose of the ramp on the right of the cam. Still doesnt seem like an easy process lugging those huge pieces around.

Or mobile crane..Although, those excavators are pretty strong, I was watching other day how they move each other through the site now when they can't just drive around. Impressive.

They are placed in the core where the lifts are? No need to fill anything after....just need to put a lift in
