I wouldn't of thought it would be too long now. Once the slab is cast it's just the walls to prepare like they have done on the rest of the site.

The site looks really nice without any dirt now. I wasn't here for a week, so what's new?

It has been quite slow for a long time in my opinion.
Everytime I watch the cam, and I did it on times they should be working considering a time difference of 6 hours, I barely see any activity.
It seems like there are only 5 people working at the same time, if any at all.
Hopefully it just me, or have more people noticed this?

I wouldn't say its been slow for a long time. Maybe for the past 2 weeks. Prior to that there were 2 months were it was flying.

Hopefully we get back to that soon.

Or maybe fundations and construction are done by different companies? It is pretty common in Poland - If that so, we would have to wait anyway for different contractor to enter the site... Is that possible here?

432 Park Avenue was the address of the building just to the south. That is now called something else, and this parcel, which was formerly 440 Park, now has an address of 432Park. The rumor was that the 432 was to signify a height of 432 meters. The DOB, however, currently shows the highest occupied floor as below, 432m but that could change.

I would imagine there is some sort of handoff procedure. That is, I would think that someone would inspect every part of the foundation and make sure it is completely up to spec before any other work proceeds. It could be ugly if they started building upwards only to get in a dispute later about a potential problem with the foundation that effected everything else.

If it's anything like in the UK the foundations will be checked during the construction by a specialist inspector so i expect the handover to be a swift procedure. I would of thought end of sept for the change over.

Looks like they are setting up a concrete pour today the pump is being set out now.

It seems strange to peg the name to a metric measurement in the united states.

Not that strange if you know that most of the people that will buy apartments in this building come from countries like Russia, India, Brazil and some Arabian countries. These are all countries were they use the metric system, so as developer looking to your potential customers it isn't that strange.

I would also imagine that besides inspections, maybe hand off to from excavating/footings contractor they may also getting a good cure on footings and foundation slabs before starting to build up ( the old 28 day cure rule) Now that the final slab in going in look for lots of new gear and materials showing up later this week and next

After 6 hours since commencing the pouring, the final slab section has been completed. Finishing operations with power trowels, and placing control joints will complete the slab.

The foundation is now substantially complete.

Looking back in time when demolition, excavation, forming perimeter walls, placing footings and slabs, the foundation construction was done in relatively fast time. After inspection, the completed foundation can be handed over to the next contractor.
