They hired more workers, didn't they?
In the web cam you can see a bunch of workers circulating in the site, they look like ants. I think I've never seen so many in that site.

Will they have the entire floor space covered with wood frame and only then do one big pour - ie, they don't do it in segments? Nothing seems to be happening with the wood frame they already laid out hence my question.

It's always better to make one continuous pour. This site is small enough that they will probably do two on each level for the lower part, then one for each floor above ground.

From time to time the 57 and Park cams malfunction and then they are unavailable

All the new support structures on the south west side are now covered in wood. But some also has a black covering material. Any idea what that is?

They are moving quickly on this :-)

I will be making construction diagrams for this tower, as well as a few others about to rise, so does anybody know the dimensions?

Earlier, some people mentioned the tower's ratio being 1:16 or 1:19. My understanding is the relationship between the sides and height is the height divided by the number following the colon equals the length of each side.

If it's 1:16, then each side would be 87.375 feet (1398/16).

If it's 1:19, then each side would be 73.579 feet (1,398/19).

If someone gives me the square footage I can check to see which one it is.

Here's the Zoning document http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/BS...de=ES307925638 - as has often been pointed out, these plans aren't necessarily final...but it's a good place to start.

What is that 2000foot ordinance? I never heard it before.
If the ordinance is really,it also can be changed.
And 9-11 is a event too many years ago.people surely will forget it and build taller buildings.
In addition,New York has the world's most advanced anti-terrorism system.

As I understand, there is indeed a height restriction of 2000 feet, but not only for New York, but for all the US, dictated by the Federal Aviation Administration FAA, for aviation safety and it is previous to the 9-11.
If that is an urban legend or not completely true, please somebody correct.

Even if it is true, it can still be changed or exceptions can be issued. Besides, a building with a roof of 1999 feet would still be very impressive

Yup, but there are 3 exceptions in the United States, so I wouldn't view this rule as being something absolute
