Imo this tower is better without the setbacks because now it's simple design looks good because it is made to be simple. With the setbacks it would look like that was all the architects could think off and it would be a ugly boring tower.

Pouring the core today!

THe rebar on the floor slab is extremely dense. I would think that will be poured very soon - definitely this week. Then in my mind we are officially at street level. :-)

The rebar on this level seems to be so much more dense than the other level. Is this because this is the ground level concrete and needs to take a higher load?

As I write this, the 56St. cam is being readjusted. A technician is working right now. Hopefully, the original view we had of the site is restored.

hehe, I got the same view.... It's almost like the guy is going to kiss you...

Then they turned the camera to the apartments or offices.

Now is like this for a while. It seems they are repositioning it. I guess (and hope) this won't be the final position. It should be more tilted to the ground

The zoom is good now but it should indeed move a little down and to the right.

HEADLINE:
432parkavenue.com, a website providing webcam views of the construction of a Manhattan supertall, goes XXX as workers on the sight sexually toy with some casual cyber observers. 6 law suits have already been filed, and more are expected to come. Ultimately, the site will most likely be shut down and a delay on the tower could last through the winter as developers struggle to find new workers.

If this ends up being the same square footage as one of Sears' 108 floor tubes, it'll only be ~650,000 square feet.

what's the primary function of this tower (residential, commercial)? how much floor space is left once the core structures (elevators and stairways) are deducted from the footprint?

Are you serious about the workers doing crude things, I know it's not April Fools day,, but GD that would SUCK!!!! If serious weed those 6 out, prosecute and carry on with this unique structure.
