Supposedly, there's an excavator at the site.

Btw, height can change at this stage so it still could very well become the tallest. I'd love to see a 1400 feet building standing there

I would rather the building was a box but with the same glass and lighting as the one dino posted. Beautiful. Although i still like the look of the building he posted.

I love classic boxes but I hate multiboxes consisting of seemingly randomly placed boxes. I like perfection, that's why I like right angles and I hate when something is made to appear randomly. Randomness is the opposite of perfection

This Tower would be such a great addition to Midtown and to the Manhattan Skyline in general. Just think back to 2001 where we had the World Trade Towers before 9/11 and we pretty much had it all, the Manhattan Skyline was perfect and still is. Now we will have more than ever before so this point in time is where the magic happens and in another 10 or 20 years we will feel like we did in 2001 where everything was complete.

Just realised this will be the exact same height as WTC2 ... 1350 foot tall.

Dude. If this building is taller than 400 meters, can be sure it will be a prize for New York.
I can not wait, they reveal the rendering of this project, and may soon begin to build this monstrosity.

being that this building is residential, the floor heights are smaller, right? what would be a reasonable estimate as to the number of floors of a 1350 ft residential building? wouldnt it have at least 100 floors?

This, with the knowledge that it'll happen on this particular location in midtown, has a surealistic feel to me. :-) I pray for a mindblowing design, allthough i expect just a box with some mere nice features.

Think along the lines of a very tall One Madison Park.

Okay. I saw 1MP and this slim tower on 8th avenue, next to the Worldwide Plaza in person. They are amazingly thin. But this one, will be crazier than these two, i think.

I'm not talking merely about the slim profile. I'm also referring to the general design. They're very similar.

Works with me..I love One Madison Park's design..Simple straight lines, symmetric cubes but on the other hand, looks like it's on the edge of engineering..Simply beautiful..
