Awesome news. Soon the fence won't pose any obstacle for photo taking at all

However, I'll make a guess, that perhaps tomorrow, the south section of the current level that has been formed with reinforcement placed, and other appurtenances required, may be poured. I say this, because, I believe all necessary items have been completed as evidenced by the rebar placing crew relocated to placing core rebar, and other areas, and, by viewing the Park Avenue cam, one sees what most likely is an envelope to contain warmth beneath the south section to be poured ( the white sheet placed between the current level and the next lower level). Typically in colder weather such measures are taken to prevent freshly poured concrete from freezing while curing. Space heaters are placed below the formwork to keep the concrete warm, and the protective envelope helps keep the warmth in. Although concrete gives off heat during curing (hydration), the additional protection during cold weather helps prevent freezing, which would be detrimental.

Once again, we shall see.
Again marcatio you know what you are talking about! Great eye and knowledge u have so thanks for all the commentary. About the fence, im sure that was there to protect the thousands of dollars worth of material they have in the site rather than stop us looking so my guess would be the fence will probally go back up after the pour

The worst part about the tower is its location. It's ridiculously out of place even if some think it is in any way aesthetically pleasing, which to me it is not.

I think that the location is perfect. This twer and 225 to the west will balance one another.

I completely agree with you. Together with 225 West it'll form the pinnacle of the skyline and 157 and Tower Verre will be between them, which will give the appearance of the taller towers protecting the smaller ones

Sort of but not completely. Because of its location from Central Park this tower will appear much smaller than 225West57th. If the heights were reversed they would maybe balance completely.

But they will balance to a certain extent and its good enough.

I think we now need some supertalls on 42nd to balance everything going up on 57th. And a couple in the middle would help.

The live cam is one of the coolest things on the Internet! One of the first things I do every workday is to check on what they are doing.

This should be well above its neighbors in less than a year. Topped out in maybe a year and a quarter? Unless of course there are delays due to financing issues like One57 had. But they really are flying right now.

Flying? They haven't done anything in december so far.
One57 was build from floor 10 to t/o in 17 months, and I think this one is for sure faster. So let's say t/o before summer 2014.
