It won't be taller than Sear/Willis Tower. But maybe tallest in NYC if 1WTC has an antenna instead of a spire.

i heard the height may reach up to 432m, which would make it 7ft taller than the Willis.

The top roof at Willis Tower is 1450ft/442.1m and the main roof is 1432ft/436.5m.

Tim's right, 432 Park won't be the tallest in the country but 225 West will

Doesn't matter if it is the tallest. Will still look great on the skyline.

Not tall as the Willis..but honestly, close enough. Anyways, it's nicer to have 2 slightly shorter (but very close in height) buildings than the Willis in the same city (WTC1 & 432park), than only 1 building tall as the Willis (the actual Willis itself).

Thank god NY doesn't have the Willis in any form, it is a building that never struck my fancy.

So the elevators in the core will not go to the basement levels? That is a solid slab of concrete in the core, right?

I guess they want to make the elevators between the lobby and the underground part as accessible as possible without long waiting time. Their focus might be on creating separate elevators for staff and separate elevators for residents. The residents in this buildings are very rich and I can imagine that they might not want to have an elevator dirty from transported crates or other material, but that is only my guess

You just stated obvious things. Of course there are different types of elevators in a building like this one. Freight elevators and elevators for in this case, residents.

Blueprints showed 4 elevators for residents in the core, with one freight elevator between them and open space, that will be used as reception/hall area. There will be three elevators outside of the core, that might serve the underground facilities of the tower portion, while the cube on park avenue will have elevators and escaltors that will serve the retail portion.

It seems that open area on the left, which is visible on the 56th street cam, will house seperated car/truck elevators or platforms. So far, blueprints didnīt show anything about the "annex" that will face 57th street.

Basement blueprints also show 4 freight elevators on a staging area that will serve the retailers in the annexes. And a sort of lobby is shown on the same basement level, that most propably will be for the office workers, that will work in the first few floors of this building. And most of the underground parking space seems to be considered for them as well. Parking space in residential buildings in Manhattan is a scarce, afaik.

I think they are setting the forms for the 1st floor of the tower.
