It would still freak me out though
It's a love hate relation for me. I love the height of this tower but I don't want to be anywhere near the top of this building!

they could color the windows slightly diffferently, like they do in the renders

It's not bland, it's minimalism.

They are leaving the windows out to reduce wind load on the structure.

Too often minimalism = bland, especially when talking about a monolith that will stand as one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world.

In my opinion there is nothing bland about minimalism. Minimalism can be done with greater care than unconventionally shaped buildings and in my opinion this building was designed very, very well

The exterior superstructure elements will be the finished product - columns and spadrel beam. The only addition to the exterior - other than the cast in place white concrete - will be the windows that are installed into the structural frame between the columns and spandrel beams.

The form-work is therefore designed and built to accomplish this. The entire system of exterior forms was custom built for this project and made from stainless steel in order to achieve the architectural requirements - and to maintain the required cycle times.

I would like to warn you guys that when these forms are first popped off, the concrete is primarily white, but mottled with a greenish-blue tint. This is a result of the slag (70% of cementitious) used in the mix and dissipates over time.

I'd be nervous about the surface being damaged during construction though. Will they give it a polish after everything is done?

The elements will be protected, but there is no intention to polish the surface.

Hey guys, I've been lurking here for a couple of months and have finally decided to jump for an account and join the conversation. Really excited to see 432 park going up and even more excited to see a floor jump today. Any idea when they will start the repetitive floor work and start moving upwards on a consistent schedule as they move away from the complex foundation work?

Once the project gets past the 7th floor, it will get into a typical 4-5 day cycle.

Go to an image hosting site like tinypic, upload your pics and then post their direct links into the window that'll pop out if you hit the pic posting icon in the post pannel. I hope that'll help
