acerx,

This floor level and the next level has the transfer beam on the 57 St side to carry the additional columns for the tower.

A few floors, the most 4 and 5, and the 56th cam has to be readjusted.

Once they are over to 7 columns all around the jumps will be much more frequent.

Did they actually pour today? Saw them set up for it but now I see nothing.

I think they poured some columns of the west side.

Thanks to NYGuy on SSP for finding this.

Given that 56 Leonard is 50% sold in less than a month, this shouldn't come as a surprise. NYs high end market remains scolding hot. Verre and 225 should sell well.

It works well on my safari.
These renders are awesome! But I still don't know if I like this building or not... Maybe because in these renders it stands alone.

On these new renders, there's this last row of windows.

That is impressive. So there is a lot of interest in this tower.

This will look especially nice at night when the drum-shaped mechanical areas are illuminated, and the floating towers scheme becomes apparent. They look nice in this photo at dusk.

Today, another core pour is being readied, while work continues on the reinforcement for the current floor slab to be poured. Previously, concrete trucks delivered concrete to a truck-mounted concrete pump with boom, which relayed concrete to the core-mounted placing boom. As the building now has risen higher, it is no longer feasible to pump concrete in this fashion, so now trucks now back to the trailer concrete pump that was delivered a few weeks ago.

Yesterday, a pour was made using the truck-mounted boom pump for the south exterior columns, after placing beam rebar.

Work continues on the Alimak material hoist. I have to make a correction: it appears that pouring is being continued on exterior beams and columns, instead of the core, although workers seem to have removed covering, which gave the impression that pouring would be done on the core.
