I've seen the new elevator working. Looks like it only services the basement floors.

Also, note the new steel beams making a structure in the basement!!!

A week of (seemingly) stagnant work and a lot has gotten done in one day. Work should really progress next week as we move past the odd transitional element.

And the coming two floors will be build quickly. Because they won´t have floors, they create the first lofty segment, in the arrangement of floating towers.

Smooth floor Also, the rebar for the ( abnormal ) columns is very good visible here.

If you mean the open space between the core and the perimeter on 56 side, yes that stays...it is a floor through mechanical room for servicing the retail building...same as from 2nd through 4th floor...this goes 4 to 6.

Yes, there will now be four double height floors...all for the Spa Pool etc.
You can really see the column transition on 57 st now that they have poured.

Perhaps.

I think this floor will have some more columns and also diagonal columns. But I think the floor after that will have the 7 columns here:

56th street becomes very narrow now with scaffolding on both sides.
