Might be a few months until we actually see the glass. I'd guess probably once it's 1/3 up will they start installing it.

Yeah and I think the first glass won't be on the first few floors, since they are working on the base and ot's the busiest part. Maybe above the mechanical floors on the first residential floors.

If that's the case I have no more doubt the facade will be flat (you could say it's flat on a model because it's not detailed enough).

One question though - if that's the cgi why would they make it look like a model in a room??

edit: oh never mind just visit the official site scroll down and you'll know why they needed this way

Well, simplicity of the shape and unusual proportions makes this building futuristic for me. It's stylish and perfectly fit in NYC. At this moment it may look to high in the area, but there are plans for a few more supertall in Midtown as I remember. I believe ESB looked outplace for many years as well. The Skyline is restless, and it can't stop change especially in such vertical megacity.

I thought that it became flat, because if you have holes with glass there is a lot of dirt accumulate in the holes. and i don't think you can open the windows to clean it

The beams being placed to the right are huge.

I wonder, though, how high pigeons typically roost in NYC. There must be a height above which they won't want to fly, as it takes a lot of energy. But I suppose the uplifted air running along the edges of skyscrapers might make this a bit easier.
Birds are a cosmetic issue...of bigger concern and I am sure the buildings dept would have a say in this (if they don't then they should)...is ICE...ice build up on ledges and then falling from very high places can be deadly in New York...the Sony Building (former AT&T) a block over has a problem with this.

...and, speaking of "missing" buildings, the Trump World Tower seems to have mysteriously disappeared.....

Something's been making me curious: where are the core-to-floor connections? I don't see any rebar sticking out of the core to form a connection, nor do I see any steel beams sticking out that might do the job.

Hope this helps.
I think those elements are hidden behind the pieces of wood shown in the picture of the post #3410
