Wow, I just noticed that on the 57th street cam you can see that crane rocking back and forth slightly. Maybe from the wind? They need to put a brace on that one too soon.

Cheers.
Not to mention, both regularly get frustrated with each other. Architects get frustrated with engineers because we "drag down" their designs, whereas engineers get frustrated with architects because they want to make buildings that are so damn hard/expensive/impractical to build. Whatever you choose, you'll end up hearing jokes about the others.

Regarding this building, though, it's great to see it finally "buildingify". Until now, all we've seen is a hole or a concrete box with rebar going everywhere, but now we'll start to get the idea of what it will end up looking like. It now looks more like a building being constructed, rather than simply a construction site.

Wow, all the workers gather on top of the core. WHy? Either a big party, or a protest I guess.

YEs, they were all moving and shaking together so maybe it really was the Harlem shake

The more I look at it the more I think they are doing the Harlem Shake. Maybe we'll see the video somewhere.

I was watching that and laughing, I think there was one guy on the crane taking pictures of them.

Was working across the street tonight, so obviously I couldn't resist to take a photo

It is the first time when I ever saw it, seriously the tower will be sooo thin!! When I told my co-workers what are they building next to us they didn't believe me how tall is going to be lol

You work next door and never saw it? And still, it looks quite huge now, comparing it with the Franklin National Bank Building which has possible less floor area.

Not just the Park Avenue cam, but also the cam at 56th may be moved up.

We know that. It is quite common that the builders follow their projects here.
