Pretty sure the front of the building or the main entrance is on Park Avenue.

What level is this on now? 14? It used to be pretty easy to count, but ever since they repositioned the Park Avenue cam, I've lost track.
Also on a side note, does anyone have trouble getting the 56 st. cam? Not only will it not load on my computer, it won't load on my phone either.

I have the same problem with the 56th St cam. But as has been noted that cam had a bad position recently. Hopefully its lack of visibility means they are repositioning it.

I think the lowest apartments don't start until well over 300 feet above the street (22nd floor).

BTW, the building's website lists the height as 1,396 feet, not 1,398.

I wouldn't mind having an apt on the second floor

With yesterday's pour of columns/beams, the climbing exterior forms will rise. Already, the 56 Street form has been partially raised, and the 56 Street crane is having its second set of ties installed. The collar is already in place around the tower, with the first of three ties attached to the collar and the building floor slab.

Workers were working this morning to "crack open" the west exterior climbing form.

The first level of scaffolding has been placed, and awaits the second level to be installed to support the 9th floor deck forms after all of the exterior climbing forms are fully raised. Some of the west column reinforcement has been installed.

People who aren't into skyscrapers are going to be shocked when this project keeps climbing and climbing.

Yeah, they'll think that when this building gets to be around 700' that it's topped out. Then months later they'll look up again and see that it has doubled in height.

They are cranking. Love it. The crane should go up a few levels today.

Note the new walkway to the crane so the operator doesn't have to walk all the way up - he can ride the elevator part way.

Crane section being listed right now. Guys on end of beam waiting for the new section. Damn, even with safety harnesses you have to have serious balls to do that job. Imagine when it is 1,200 feet up!!!

How long does it take to jump a crane?

I think one section can be done in about a half hour. Maybe 45 minutes.

now installing new rebar cages for the next level columns (57th street cam). I would expect them to do the floor first because then it would be easier to work on.

56 cam is working again

Btw, they surely are installing those rebar cages quickly.

Yes, the 56 Street cam is working again. But, no reason to jump for joy: I still don't like the angle. I though perhaps it was being repositioned while it was out of service. No such luck. I'll have to rely on the 57 ST and Park Avenue cams to follow progress, as the current 56 St view really is useless. I am missing seeing the ground action at 56 Street
