Very nice renders, Damo.

I can't quite tell from your render, but it looks like you have the glass recessed, while it will actually be right at the exterior edge of the concrete, to cut down on complications from nesting birds and falling ice. The render below supports this.

How strong those windows may be, if I would live in there I would never ever lean against them.

They're definitely strong enough to lean on them

Finally someone else noticing it. Yeah it will most likely look much flatter than on this render. But its (the render) good work non the less.

I hope that when the building is almost finished we can have a look inside and see the real view from the upper part of the building

This morning they have been adding a mast on the right-hand side of the materials hoist, which will allow for two more cages:

I think it's still too soon for glass.

looks about the right size and all the glass on a 122 leadenhall in London was delivered wrapped in white sheeting aswell. Didn't someone say glazing was to start end of May?

Also it looks like the section where the white units are being dropped on will also rise up the building. The elevator tower will be bloody massive.

432 Elevators

Hello All,

This question might have been already asked, but I was looking at the design of the elevators for the original WTC1 and thought the sky lobby idea was pretty cool.

I understand that the passenger load will be greatly reduced for a residential building of the same height, however, that's a massive run for an elevator, and I know in most apartment buildings, waiting for an elevator is NO fun, especially if the apartment was $100 million dollars.

Does anyone have any information about the design of the elevators for 432? Seems there are only 4 elevators in the core? Will they be 4, 400m elevators?

They already placed rebar cages for north and most of west side.
BTW, three more jumps and the core climbing system will surpass the neighbor building at 57th st. and with four, it will surpass the slightly taller neighbor at 56th st.

I don't think the highest floor(s) will still have 4 elevators,( if it are 4 ). That is a bit too much I guess, not that i'm sure or so. On this floor plan it seems like this ( possible last ) floor only has 2 elevators.

Btw, big pour with buckets now.

There is also a service elevator opposite the stairwell.

Well, if anyone still has any doubts about how amazing this thing is, I think this pretty much seals the deal. It is going to look freaking awesome!

Someone recently asked about the pool.
This is the floorplan of the floor the pool is on.
They call it the physical culture floor.
