LOL! I can only afford an apartment on the lower floors!! (i wish)

I know... Mere mortals spending $5M plus in the lower floors will not have a place to take in the fab views that the higher floors will enjoy.

And that's where the help will live.

Just back from visiting the site (and taking pix). One of the construction workers says to me, "who IS this guy always taking pix?". I asked was he ready for his close-up. He called me Mr. DeMille and said he was... So anywhoo ... he also explained that, yes indeed, what we see in the above image are in fact the windows arriving on site (early, I'm told as they weren't due 'til next week). Expect installation this or early next week! I will, of course, post pix from today and last week tonight.

Does anyone have any information about the design of the elevators for 432? Seems there are only 4 elevators in the core? Will they be 4, 400m elevators?

I don't think the highest floor(s) will still have 4 elevators,( if it are 4 ). That is a bit too much I guess, not that i'm sure or so. On this floor plan it seems like this ( possible last ) floor only has 2 elevators.

Btw, big pour with buckets now.
We don't know yet how the different types of apartments will be distributed in the building. The four elevators must go up the last floor where there are apartments smaller than the whole floor, since the apartments are served by different elevators. But we don't know how many whole floor apartments there are in this building, if there is just one at the Pent House, or if there are more.
These are plans of some of the "smaller" apartments, as you can see, each apartments is served only by two of the four main elevators (plus the service elevator that serves all)

They should cover up the blank wall on the Franklin National Bank Building in some way. Either a mural or one of those cool grass walls.
Of all people, I didn't think you would condone having murals on "International Style" buildings because they might compromise their "purity." I actually believe so, but then again, I hate murals anywhere.

Frankly, I think the Franklin Building should be demolished and replaced with a supertall having classical design cues which used to be prevalent on this block.

Since they aren't going to cover the scars up with matching black cladding or cut matching windows, the other option should be to make it either commercially usable or covered up in a nice way. The ugly scars aren't part of the purity.

Right, good luck with that...

My point is therefore affirmed, that this building's design, especially in relation to its neighbors, is flawed. I still can't believe this design was ever approved in a city which laudes itself over progressive-era setback laws which decimated whole generations of architectural creativity.

I've updated the windows so they're Double-Glazed & Flush with The Concrete Frame-work. Thanks for the feedback

Shouldn't the windows be darker? The concrete should be the brighter of the two I imagine. Thanks for taking the time to make this, looks great.

If every SSC member puts up $212, we'll have $150,000,000 which might just buy us the penthouse.

Although, I concede, I haven't yet worked out the logistics on how 709,000 people are gonna share one apartment...

With 100 people allowed in each day it would take 20 years to get through everyone, or it could be 50 people a day so you get more room and more time but then it would take 40 years.
