709,000 people are in this forum? I find that hard to believe. Unless this forum has been around since the 70's,, I didn't think there were that many ppl possibly interested and who knew about this site. If I had to guess I'd say 1000 members , and maybe 300 who post occasionally/monthly , and 100 or so who follow hardcore.
click here and go to the bottom, and you will see this:

It was 11th largest forum in the world last year. Now probably moved even more higher.

You really should explore the whole site, not only the World Development News Forums.

Look at it this way, This is an internet forum, so you can accses it from everywhere in the world. In the world there are more than 7.000.000.000 people, so 700.000 only represents 0,01 % of world population, not that much. Anyway, of those 700.000 people many are not active and never post, just signed in, maybe half of them post, at least occasionally(still much more than just 1000). And remember that there are many regional forums, of almost every country, many people don't speak english, and you'll never see them in the international forums.

Back on topic, right now they are pouring columns/beams. I haven't seen them pouring the core. I don't think they do that today, that means we won't see another core jump until tuesday.

I believe they are pouring the core with the pump and the columns with the buckets.

I don't know about earlier today since I wasn't watching, but at the moment they are using both the pump and a bucket (56th street crane) for the core.

Then, the core should be raised on monday.
They did two or three jumps in a 5 day cycle (excluding non-working days) then the last one was a six-day cycle, and this one apparenttly will be a 7-day cycle. Let's see if for the next jumps, they have shortests cycles again.

I took your advice and yeah, there's tons more here than I thought even existed. Keep a person busy for a months straight. Thanks fellas, and some of these bldgs going up might not be megas, but damn a lot of cool stuff here.

Back to this bldg, damn I want to see this pool.. Is there a certain reason 56th hasn't been raised or are they trying to keep all 3 cams at different angles and heights, so all phases can be seen,(seems like 56th will be the 1 that'll give us the first up-close views on the window installment, and that's probably? why their keeping that angle),, not just the top, if that's the case, we may never get a good glimpse on how they do the pool. Then again, I don't know shit about how to build a skyscraper, but I do work on pools,(mostly filters and heaters, not installation, but I have seen them installed, that's why I can't see this being a pre-fabricated fiberglass shell "pool" and I'd like to get a glimpse on this. The pool to me is the most interesting part of the early construction phase. I know if I hit the Powerball tonight I'm going to demand a massive pool in my Penthouse at 432 P.A. Or they'll put it on my roof top, Damn it!!!! Damn wouldn't that be nice??? Dreams, Dreams, Dreams, and no pool boy, a hot ass pool girl fulltime.. Gotta admit it be cool to see a crane lifting a 20x70ft shell onto the top of the 9th? floor. Damn just checked my numbers, 4get the last 3 sentences or so about my personal pool, roof, poolgirl etc. Fu$#!!!! Back to work.

It's hard to say anything about the amount of users:

1) A lot of accounts are not used anymore or used only 1 time.

2) A lot of people who visit the website don't have an account. I created an account after visiting these forums for 3 years!

The real number of active users could be much lower OR much higher.

it's not even 100m tall and you ask how many left to top out? just count the floors and calculate how many are left

When you look to the right of the thread title, you can see the stats for replies, replies per forumer, and views. Forum stats are at the bottom of the home page. I can assure you, there are many more active forumers than you'd think. We've got at least 100 mods and admins, and I'd say about 10,000 active members. Knowing you, the only forumers you probably see are the ones that hang around here at the construction threads and tall talk. There are many forumers who just follow development information for their cities in completely different sections of the forum. Also, you've got DLM, Oasis, Skybar forumers and the ones who love rating buildings. You should explore the forum more sometime, as it sounds like you haven't been to different areas very much.
