I didn't say it'd be a hulking mass. What I said was that it doesn't care that it doesn't really fit in with any other buildings in NY in shape, material, etc. I guess it's more so apathy.

I haven't been here in the last few days. Did you mean a core jump with this post? I'd like to know if it's time for me to update my diagram

Yes, that was a core jump, but I should wait another 2 days because I'm sure it will jump again very soon.

Thanks for the info, so the building should be 80 meters or 264 feet right now. I'm looking forward for monday's or tuesday's jump

Edit: I've placed on top of 1WTC the ring and antenna from the original drawing, so now it looks exactly as on SSP

Roof height used below:

Kanto not to start an argument, but even you have to admit the 1 wtc looks like the taller building in your diagram .

That's only because I've drawn the rings of 1WTC myself and I suck at drawing. If they would be drawn by a true SSP diagramer they would not look solid but look just like an open air lattice structure, like they do in the original SSP diagrams. But I do agree that now that 1WTC has finished both ring and antenna construction I should give 1WTC back the original drawing of the rings and antenna

Edit: I've edited my diagram and gave 1WTC back its original antenna and ring, so now the ring looks like it will look in reality and doesn't look like part of the building anymore

Either though 1 wtc rings is not part of of the building its rather misleading to people who don't know on how is 432 taller than 1 wtc, so some will assume that 1 wtc is taller, than 432 by roof.

The rings are an open air lattice crown in my opinion. Such open air crowns together with antennas and spires aren't counted towards roof height

His diagram is correct, 1WTC's rings (which are kind of like a crown) top off at just over 1400 feet, so the building does appear slightly higher than 432 PkAv.

Whether you think the rings (which again I consider to be more of a crown) are part of the building or not they still make 1WTC have the impact of a physical 1400 foot building.

I consider the a crown too, but they're just as much a part of the building as the old South Tower's OB deck was, yet for some reason it wasn't counted, so I doubt this will be either if the mast is ruled an antenna.

Yup, the observation deck on top of the old South Tower was an opena air lattice crown as well, even though it wasn't made for decoration.

I would have considered it part of the building (and 1WTC's rings as well), but things were more strict back then it seems. If 2WTC was built now then I have a feeling it would count.

I wouldn't count neither one to roof height, but both to pinnacle height. I can't understand why the CTBUH didn't count the observation deck to pinnacle height. After all, pinnacle height should count everything

I was talking about official height. I too disagree about it being roof height, but think it meets the CTBUH's "integrated" policy for official height.

Actually, the CTBUH has always had the South Tower's official height incorrect. The escalator housing should have been counted, which is around 4 meters higher than the observation deck walkway. I have always wanted to see final drawings of the top of the South Tower.
