If they do that it will become clear how much the crane sways
at a point there will be nothing taller...then they could just put the camera on a balloon

Yup, the window looks very good on the 56 cam

If the site were to be demolished, it is conceivable that a new tower utilizing air rights might become the tallest building on Park Avenue north of the MetLife Building at 45th Street.

Are you speaking about the office tower on Madison immediately adjacent to this? It will not be here in 20 years -- if not sooner.

I see what you are saying...a lot garbage on that roof! guess it has one more jump to pass it

Actually now that I look a google earth it looks as though it has even farther to go...that light colored rectangle between the V of the crane is a water tank enclosure on 575
not sure if counts or not

Well, it looks like the difference between the two red lines are those 8 feet cause it is a minimal difference. Maybe the water tank enclosure was added later to the building and they calculated the building's height before it was built

Btw 600, that's not a HVAC unit cause it has windows

It's a HVAC, or water shed, or equipment shed or whatever - in any event it isn't a structural part of the building. So given your position on not counting spires I'm not sure why you count it.
