they don't want you to think you can stick around and get comfortable.

Actually, I think they want the furniture to be real simple. They want the focus on the space, not on the furniture.

Further, having very simple and uncluttered space is a sign of wealth. The idea is that you have so much space you can spread everything out.

Also, since the space is quite small, thinner furniture works better for allowing the interior to feel larger.

That the tower is thin, doesn't mean these apartments are small.

Will they be able to open the windows? I can't imagine a place where you are unable to open the widows. I would feel like I am sufforcating.

It's minimalism. Less is more. No one builds or buys massive furniture and interiors anymore. That was left in '90s and '00s.

No way. I don't know of many supertalls that have windows that open. Maybe Ryugyong...

It will have an internal air refreshment system. Should be no problem.

The windows shown in that pic are 10 ft wide. That is not a small living.

They appear to have moved the Park Avenue cam facing downwards a bit, is this probably because they'll be jumping the crane?
And are we expected to see a core jump today or tomorrow sometime?

a 100 sq ft window at 1000 ft high... that should be fun to close in a windy day...

That's part of the reason those windows don't open.

Not today, since they seem to be pouring it. But tomorrow is highly probable. Last one was may 29th, last wednesday. They get some 5 day cycles, but the last ones were in a 7 or 8 day cycle (workdays) we'll see if they speed up again

Yeah I mean the furniture is pretty cool but showing off sleeker stuff helps to add to the overall atmosphere. Besides, if those windows are 10' square, that's HUGE. Just by that render alone, I mean, that pedestal and vase are barely shorter than I am (I'm pretty short haha). It looks like it'll be plenty of space for the owner(s) and seems large to me.

Never been to NYC but even though this is a small plot, it does seem they are giving the residents as much space is as possible (for the price I'd hope so).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those chairs in the front are Barcelona Chairs designed by Mies van der Rohe. Each one cost around $5068 dollars. Rich indeed.

Well then there go my plans to buy a unit. I cannot live in a place where you can't open the windows.

Ya really no messing around, seems like it was just a matter of getting the crane jumped. Now the 57th side crane will need to go up but not sure if pieces are on site yet.
