Does anyone know if a hotel is still part of this project?

There was some talk further up the thread saying that LVMH were in talks to bring their 'Le Chaval Blanc' brand to this site but not much since then. I've seen a couple of different elevations floating about for the lower floors and I'm not sure which one supersedes the other.

Lots of lifting going on right now with both tower cranes. Perimeter form is slowly inching upward. Pour going on as well. Park Avenue cam was repositioned to show the base of the tower.

Do the perimeter forms/scaffolding hoist themselves up, or do the cranes do the lifting?

They lift themselve using hydraulics.

Are you sure? I'm thinking the cranes do the lifting.

I thought you were talking about the core forms.

But isn't the perimeter done with hydraulics as well? I could be wrong but iirc it lifted itself up just like to core

Everything is lifted with hydraulics. Cranes lift only material and stuff. Btw. it's being lifted right now.

Unreal. Two cams pointed at the ground and the one still pointed up doesn't reach the top.

totally sucks. Hope they fix this soon. We'll be missing the action otherwise.

I see that!

This project never fails to amaze me... I'm seeing construction techniques used here, I've never seen before. They're prepping to jump the north crane while the north forms rise. Amazing.

What's more, when the structure was below street level, I was convinced the project could be built with one tower crane, now I get how much they are both being kept busy.

Yeah, I would also like to see that system, how it's attached considering naked concrete which can't be ruined, how it works with lifting and stuff. Could be interesting.

This is getting really close to beating the black building next to it. Iirc it is 119 meters tall, so we should celebrate after the next 5 jumps
