Most supertalls have 3 or 4 (if I'm not wrong)

I think only 2 in this one because it's just one whole apartment, as we saw in the plans...

Not all floors have one apartment (the small floorplan probably 4 per floor), but apparently 2 elevators is enough.

After running around Russia for a while (and working on a huge trip report:
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1632453

I finally made it back to 432. Its definitely shooting up.

Interesting that they don't put a bridge at each crane tie in. So the operator still has to climb up a lot of ladders.

I just love the white concrete and can't get enough of it. Also, note that most all the blue streaking is gone :-)

They sure have plenty of elevators on this job.

The new steel work along park avenue. Not sure why they need such heavy duty overhead protection here.

Also not sure what the deal is with the metal frame going up higher on Park Avenue.

There don't seem to be many windows installed yet at all. More or less what you see from the cam.

Mabye about 10 more floors to overtake its black neighbor.

Ok, here are the clamps tying the elevators onto the building. I've been really curious about this. How do they stick to the concrete without drilling a hole into it or damaging it?

This building still doesn't really stand out. I think it needs about 10 more floors to be clearly seen from 5th Avenue. I'm not sure about Central Park. I'm thinking that by September it should stand out.

Now, back to my real work:

There are not two elevators, there are 5, four passengers and one freight.
In that floor plan you see only 2 + freight elevator, because that is a whole floor apartment, located on the upper floors, so the other two elevators don't reach there.

Here you have another floor plan, where you can see the other wo elevators.

And I think there is also one or two more elevatores, located outside the core, but that only serve the lower floors, used for the hotel.

Most supertalls have many elevators, but the number depends if it is residential or office. Office buildings have many elevators, dozens of them if it is a supertall.

Residential buildings would have less, but in that case, the number would depend in the number of units. This buildings have about 130 apartments, a low number for the size of the building, since those are big-luxury apartments. For comparison a 20-25 floor building with 8 or ten apartments per floor, (something not uncommon to see in NY as well as in other cities) would have about 200 units.
Since this building have a relatively small number of apartments, it won't need a huge number of elevators, despite its height.

Before it was mentioned that some of the apartments take up two floors. Is this true? Is the full floor penthouse shown double height, or do some actually take up two floors?

A double height ceiling, like the pool area, would be an incredible 30' tall. Just wondering.

Only in New York would they build a supertall on such a tight site! Best looking concrete I've ever seen, too. Almost looks like marble...

Good to see that the blue streaking is slowly disappearing. That takes quite a while (as expected).

Pour going on. Netting being removed. 57th and Park cams (of course) have rain drops all over their lenses. The site doesn't seem to be as busy as it was last Tuesday.

It would make for a large mural or some advertising probably.

That would be pretty cool in that size. Other wise they might just as well give it a proper cladding.

I think they could "cut out" some new windows... is such a waste to have just a solid wall there.

(covered or not with a bilboard)

That would never be permitted on Park Ave.
