What is the tower being constructed in the lower left of the second photo?

Yes! The building does look huge to me as well. I think for a building that size under 1,000 ft is perfect but going 1,400 ft it will be slim but impressive nontheless.

What's up with the Rockefeller observation deck? There's more people in my backyard right now than up there.

A day in history:432 Park Avenue

It's been fun watching this tower rise, both here on the cams and on site. Here's where we were a year ago on this date, July 18, 2012:



A portion of the slab was already poured on the 57 St side, the very beginnings of the core footing was being formed, and the access ramp into the excavation was beginning to be removed.

Look where we are now.

Since we had another core jump, I updated my diagram. The tower is now 113 meters or 372 feet tall
