Are you sure about that? I would think it is still 3 or 4 jumps from overtaking it.

Pretty damned good for a drunken whack at photoshop.

Although I think 225 is on the wrong side of One57.

Roof height used below

Instead of the complete 1WTC above, I would love to see a rendering of 1WTC's naked core for comparison to the whole 432 Park Ave.

225 looks like the cancelled Russia Tower in those renders

Not far at all...they are both (obviously) on 57th Street. One57 is between 6th & 7th Ave, and 432 is between Madison & Park (which, mathematically speaking, is really 4th Ave), so they are only a few avenue blocks apart.

Well, the angles of the cams make it kinda hard to compare it with its neighbour. Though it could have happened that folks mistakenly announced that the core has risen even though it hadn't, so there always is the possibility that my diagrams might be ahead or behind a jump. Back when this had a few floors and the cams were well positioned it was easy to calculate the height, but as it rises it becomes increasingly hard. To truly get a good idea of the current height I would have to get a pic showing both 432 and its neighbour in one plane

Noice, thanks.

You're right. Fixed it accordingly.

Oh my gosh! Thank you! Nice job considering the amt of alcohol in you!

Can you include 107 West 57th ? It would be located just a little to the left of One57. It's a skinny one that is just slightly shorter than one57.

I believe the latter is actually the Miglin-Beitler Skyneedle. A lot of people love that design and want to see something like it in NY, although it doesn't do anything for me personally.

But those shop jobs do a good job illustrating that 432P is just the first of a huge wave. Even if only half those proposals see the light of day, it will have plenty of company.

Now we just need someone to propose a modern completion of the Met Life North tower to extend the skyline even further.

I completely agree with you on Metlife North. The fact that it is a mere highrise with a structure strong enough to hold an impressive supertall drives me nuts

I wonder what a comparison of the width of this tower would have been to the Chicago Spire? I know one is round and one is square, but on a 'thin/tall' scale?

The one on 42nd street is the tower planned to rise after the midtown east rezoning is in place, next to Grand Central. The other one is just an unplanned midtown east supertall, i think.

What is the material that is used in the exterior of the building? It looks like concrete, but I'm not sure.
