I do believe that is actually the crane for The Baccarat Tower.

Very interesting faces. Don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like that before.

Anyway, in the renders, it is clearly show that they are open.
And what is going to happen with one of these open floors when it suffers a 3 feet snow storm at 300 meters?

Both the 57 Street and Park Avenue cams need to be readjusted. The top of the building is nearly out of view. There will ultimately be a limit to the adjustability of the 57 Street cam, as 432 Park Avenue rises above the mounting position (which I believe is mounted to the Four Seasons Hotel across the street). Being that the Park Avenue cam is positioned diagonally across Park Avenue on the southeast corner, it may follow the progress better.

I find the logistics of construction very interesting, and like seeing the ground action on 56 Street (concrete and material delivery) as well. Unfortunately, instead of re-adjusting the two cams mentioned earlier, they repositioned the 56 Street cam slightly upward, cutting off the view of the street, and the near western corner of the site. There is activity taking place, with what appears to be scaffolding being erected on the west side of the site (adjacent to the opening beside the new building) that was started on Friday. Just then the 56 Street cam was moved, so this new activity is now out of sight. The previous view was better for overall view of the ground action. Concrete is being poured, but with the current cam positions, it is impossible to tell where. The screenshot below was taken on 7-16-13, compare it with the current view.

Somebody needs to talk to the person (or persons) responsible for positioning the cams.

I am happy to report that the 56 Street cam has been repositioned for a full view of the ground action. As mentioned in my last post, an interesting structure has been erected since Friday on the west end of the site, with steel beams placed, which now conceals the two concrete pumps.

The Park Avenue cam has been repositioned upward just a bit, so now the core can be seen. It is a wonder why the cam wasn't raised higher, since it is just a matter of days before the core is poured and raised, which will put it again at the top of the current view.

The 57 Street cam is down, presumably because it may be repositioned higher?
We shall see.

It's a real shame too because it ruins an excellent time lapse.

As i mentioned a few weeks back, my girlfriend went on holiday to America and whilst she was in New York I asked her to get photos of certain buildings for me, so here's a few of 432 Park Avenue from about 2-3weeks ago

New Core jump, This is one of the quickliest, they've done so far. I think the last one was last thursday afternoon, so it is six days and five working days excluding sunday.

In other news, it seems that they are FINALLY MOVING THE 57th STREET CAMERA, but not as we thought, placing it higher, but farther away, exactly two blocks away, actually, the 57th St. camera no longer exist, and you can see that now there is a button for a 59th Street camera, although it is not yet in service.

Haha that was weird when I just found out. I think it's good if it's further away since the tower grows, it should be zoomed in though.
