That handsome black building goes by 450 Park these days:
http://www.450park.com/
Hard to believe it was designed by Emery Roth and sons- many of their buildings of the same time period look NOTHING like this, they're much simpler.

I like 450 Park better than the "black building". That way, we know it's next to 432 Park and not in Shanghai.

Hahaha, in that link you provided, they describe the history of the building as this:

Quote:
Built in the late 60’s and completed in 1972, 450 Park represents the zenith of the modernist movement standing beside such architectural icons as the Seagram Building, Lever House and 500 Park Avenue.
Designed by architects Emery Roth and Sons, and originally comissioned by the Franklyn National Bank, the 33-story Black granite tower of 333000 square feet is considered by many, to be the most stricking Black skyscraper in New York City, refelecting the refined taste of its Developer, Peter Sharp, who also owned the Carlyle Hotel.
So it is THE Black Building...

Unfortunately, I have to have a negative opinion, but do not take it seriously, I come from a country where high-rise buildings do not build too much and if so, there are problems with environmentalists and environment.

Nice diagram!
The building is 90 'squares' high, but there is more than one double height floor, so the floor count should probably be a couple of floors less.

I still can't get my head around how insanely thin this building is. It already looks quite thin, but it is only a couple of floors past the first mechanical floor!

I thought you were talking about the one in Chicago there.
But yeah 590 Madison is very close, although it's 184m.
The closest towers it's going to surpass soon are the Fuller Building ( 150m ) and the Park Avenue Tower ( 171m ).

http://www.abitare.it/it/in-edicola/abitare-533/

E 'very strange also the relationship between the height and the depth of the foundations of the building visible in the section ... Were carried piling deep?

Every punch of the prospectus measure 3.00 x 3.00 meters

They really take off now... New core jump!!!!!

Last one was last tuesday, the 20th, so only 3 days apart now, less than 72 hours...

57th&1st, now you can take a picture from your apartment with the core fully showing above "The Black Building" (we can call it the BB) BTW I didn't realize earlier that your name refers to the address of your apartment, I just did

Holy crap, you are right. Several months ago a builder associated with the project said that they would enter a 4-day cycle with floors and whatnot, but I presumed he was slightly off when the progress was more like a week per floor. 3 days is insane.

This is WAY too fast for an American supertall. Last time I checked, it was supposed to be a floor a week. What's happening???

Well for one this one is made of concrete rather than steel unlike the most recent ones like 1WTC, BOA etc.. , concrete buildings go up faster. But I think it's mostly due to how simple the design is, it just goes straight up in squares, just compare it to how slow 56 leonard is going up. I for one am not surprised a bit of how fast it's going up, I'm pretty sure it'll be topped out some time next summer/early fall.
