I visited 432 Park Avenue in July. It looked HUGE. And look at it now, near October.

Hmph, actually by the current SSP diagram drawing the perimeter construction is currently exactly on the second MEP. But then why is there afloor slab? Will there be a floor slab in the middle of the MEP. Does the MEP consist of 2 floors or just 1? Could that slab be just a temporary deck? Or is the SSP drawing wrong? ........ Many questions yet no answers

Yeah, I realized a few minutes ago I screwed up and measured the core instead of perimeter. So it appears we are currently on the 2nd MEP level. Sweet.

It's the section of concrete that makes the floors of skyscrapers.

Uploading an image from the webcam for archive's sake. I sometimes browse through threads and observe the progress through buildings by clicking on every 10th page and searching for historical, archived images.

Wow it's really rising fast! This tower looks like it's being made VERY strong & sturdy. Very cool to see such a new shaped tower especially in midtown. Now people can look south at 1WTC, north at 432 Park, with the good old ESB in the middle

Completely exposed to the weather? I'm not sure if that is such a good idea.

Lots of buildings have exposed mechanicals. Most mech floors actually require access to open air.

So isn't it just a floor?

Yes, but it usually indicates a thick, reinforced one you'll see in major buildings. You typically won't call the floor of a home a floor slab.

Pardon my ignorance ... and I've checked the past several pages ... but what is the current height and floor count of this building so far?

About 600 feet and 30 floors, I guess?

Those billionaire tenants sure are going to enjoy one hell of a view in this tower! Even though it won't be accessible to the general public, it will still be quite a sight when completed. Definately unique.

The other stuff in the render are other buildings I have designed.
Here is my thread in Creative Corner
Some time I will update it to include the window sills, the small gap around the windows, and also the dark colour of the glass.

If the tower is done, they should put the cams on the top pointed to the west ( 57th ). That will give a view.

Not sure how accurate the colour of the glass is, the only photo I have seen with exposed glass is this one:

Here is another one:

Also I believe the most accurate model of the tower (structure not necessarily the colors) is in this video. Just wait till 1:00. Good for floor counting or what not.

At the start of the video it looks like it has a outward block at the bottom of the building with a "balcony" area?

This is correct. The mep floor is in that area. Also currently the perimeter construction is not at the second MEP as someone suggested. It's still two floors away.

Maybe the reason for putting the glass in the floor above.
