This. The window in the picture Dino posted is directly in the sun light. Hard to tell the color in such conditions but it most likely would be just sky reflecting off it. Still doesn't look too blue to me.

Yes what you are seeing there is an outdoor roof area on top of the yet to be built six story retail building which will front 57 St...this area will be be private use of residents...may include private restaurant, club, entertaining area to be used for special events or parties by residents

They wont have the tallest for long, the Pentominium has been on hold for over 2 years and is not likely to restart...even if it does it will likely be redesigned.

432 Park Ave will pass Mumbai soon and will for at least a short while hold the tallest residential crown.

World one is getting thinner soon so you can never know. Maybe they will speed up after setback

It seems that they are finally pouring the core. I guess we can expect a core raise by tomorrow.

Im still having trouble watching the 59th street cam. Other cams work, but when I click the 59th link it just shows 56th cam. A while ago this was an issue on this thread.
Other people also still having trouble with it?

If not, how can you make it work again?

Rebar rising this morning....

Aren't they due for a core jump...? Can't recall having seen the wall and core get so close in height before.

Strange. For me, 56th and 59th are working normally, but Park Ave is off line.

They poured the core yesterday I believe so should raise today, people were mentioning the delay may have something to do with these floors being mechanical but I have no clue.

I don't have that problem it is working for me, the one that seems off line is Park Avenue. When they switched the 59th st. camera to default, I stop having that problem. But one thing that seemed to work when the problem was still present was to right click and choose the option "open in a new private or incognit window"

Yes, I think it is the first time the outer rebar almost reachs the height of the core. Obviously, they can't add another floor without rising the core which I think will happen during the next hours, since I think they poured the core yesterday.

With that, the climbing system will be at the 35th floor (apparent) making it 542 feet, only four jumps away to catch the IBM Building / 590 Madison (the brownish one behind 432 Park) That should happen by the end of this month.

EDIT: The core is rising right now... I think that with this jump it should pass the pyramid building.

Yes! Here's how it looks from my vantage point right now:

So with today's jump the building (including the climbing core form) the building has 35 apparent floors making it 166 meters or 543 feet tall, right?

It is hard to tell because of the perspective, but seem about even.
Maybe the top of the pyramid still a little bit higher.

It seems so according to our calculations.
BTW Kanto, I think you haven't visited the proposed buildings thread, yesterday there were big announcements about both 107th W 57th and Nordstrom Tower...

I wonder what these black things on the corners are.

Anyway with this jump 432 is now about the 160th in NYC.

I am guessing it has to do with it being a MEP level

Perhaps yes, for extra strength conecting the core with the collumns.

Maybe they have something to do with the giant "drums" that can be glimpsed through the window openings on the MEP floors in some of the renderings...?

Yep exactly my thought as well, and is also why the core just took a lot longer this time
