haven't been able to watch the cam at all during the day. What is going on? Is there some sort of stoppage in work???

I have noticed they seemed to have stopped working on weekends.

Only in New York City would a 19 story building be described as a "lowrise"!

Here in Philly a "lowrise" building is usually 7, 8, 9 stories. The old Drake Hotel would be considered a "midrise."

As others have pointed out, there really does seem to be a major slow-down in progress (at least, if you measure "progress" by altitude...) Anyone know why?

Took this pic on October 12:

...and here's how it looks this morning, 10 days later:

Lol, 19 stories is over twice as tall as the tallest building here.

They just started up this week. All last week there was no activity on either cams and neither of the cranes were operating at any point during the day, just wondering if something was up or if 100% of the work was being done inside. That's why I pointed it out.

Maybe a work stop order? Or as you mentioned it could be some interior work ...

I don't think there is a slow down as such, I mean, in the last months this building has got used to have a speed of about a floor about every five days, that speed has certainly slowed down, but I don't think the work on the tower has slowed down.
What I think is happening is that they are working on a special part of the building, we all can see how they build those reinforcements on the last floor. That is obviously something more complex than the standard floors, hence, it takes much longer to build.
I think once they pass this part, maybe with the next jump, we will see the tower growing at the rate we were used to.

Is it going to have a store in the lobby/1st floor? Or 100% apartments? Also, it will reply on the damper to mitigate against sway in the wind? It's quite innovative how they are using the rigid external walls to give it's extremely tall height stability. This building will be tough as nails.

New schedule A for 432 PA.
http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/BS...de=ES405435917

Floors 74-79 are now double height apartments. (Aprox 20 ft tall ceilings or each apt may be Duplexes)

Link didn't work for me, does this make the height increase or something?

Sorry. The link should work, its on the DOB systems side. It's been a little screwy.

As far as the height everything stays the same @ 1,398ft.

I would expect double height to be well over 20 ft. Each window is 10 ft already.
