For what i see, i really like the idea of a facade as an exoskeleton to avoid the use of a core
or heavy columns. I believe this can turn out very nice.

I just wish it had some kind of... something going for it other than it's impressive height.

The tower's flat roof will create a needed balance in the Midtown skyline, which is dominated by spires and antennae mostly.
Awaiting a decent rendering...

Just looking at the webcam, they are still installing walls and supports.
I cannot see any support on the street side. Is there no risc of collapse there?

I can't see any supports. Those steel structures are forms for concrete walls. There may as well be no need for supports at all since its mostly bedrock there.

From what I know length and width are both 29 meters and height is 433 meters but this isn't official so it shouldn't be regarded as definitive knowledge

I'm still struggling to believe that this project can become reality...

A 1300 feet higher in New York City (which is not the WTC) will give a totally awesome look to the already splendid Manhattan.

This should begin rising in 2012, together will two other 300.+ residential towers: 225 W 57th and Torre Verre.

Since it is so skinny, will it top out in 2013? Also is the final design going to be the one with the circular mechanical floors or not?

The drum-shaped mechnical floors were scrapped. The design shown in the model and in the WSJ rendering is what will be built.
