Am I the only one who thinks this building actually looks better with the red in the windows instead of pale glass? The white facade with deep red inserts is a striking, geometric look.

The window washers aren't "poor".

New York Times:

Generally, window washers make in the neighborhood of $20 to $30 per hour. Union workers, who are concentrated in commercial cleaning, start at $26 per hour.

It has been yes but keep in mind we are still in a transition phase, finishing up the MEP floors, installing the new crane, etc has of course slowed things down dramatically as expected.

Once this floor is done and presumably the 56th street crane is taken down (which I thought may have happened this past weekend) we will start to see a regular jump schedule again.

That's true, I'm looking forward to when this more difficult phase will be over

I prefer the floor to ceiling windows and the longer span between columns of One57.

Same here. I was just looking at both today, and One57's look nicer indeed.

In the meantime...

PERIMETER FORMS RAISED TODAY!!!

This means we are finally finished with the MEP floors and should resume normal construction pace.

Also on site today, the steel skeleton for the Apple facility (which just released renders yesterday for it's incredible new facilty in Cupertino) has reached street level, with lateral bracing just 1 floor below grade.

It's a great day for New York City fellas!

I personaly like the 432 Park room more than the 157 room. The windows of 432 Park are huge enough but they give a feeling of privacy. Floor to ceiling windows in my home would make me feel like if I would be in a museum exhibit for everybody to see

I think 432 would feel much more cosy

As much as I like the One57 interior, I would feel too exposed

Indeed, plus this tower doesn't have many tall neighbours, especially on the higher half. While One57 has two tall neighbours. One57 has reflective cladding though.

I like the wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows in theory. But boy do I hate those cylindrical columns. Looks like something out of 1982.

Believe it or not my favorite would be in the Steinway with those huge 15ft tall windows running the width of the entire building.

But since no inside renders of the Steinway available, 432 PA would be my preference. One57's no slouch either.

When I first got to know about this building, I thought the building had red windows (for about 5 seconds) and I thought that it looked wonderful with red glass. When I realized it was netting, I wasn't all that disappointed, because the facade looks very nice with pale glass, too. It looks less "at war" with the windows. I like both facades.

But even today, if you ask me to draw a picture of 432 Park Avenue without reminding me it has pale glass, there's about 50% chance I'm going to draw it with red glass.
