That structure on the corner has more steel in it than I initially thought.

432 Park Avenue

Developer: CIM Group and Macklowe Properties
Design Architect: Rafael Vinoly Architects PC
Architect of Record: SLCE
Structural Engineers: WSP Cantor Seinuk, Israel Berger and Associates --curtain wall consultant

Height: 1396 ft.| 426.11 m. | 96 floors
G.F.A.: 74,322 m² / 799,995 ft²

There we go, it seems the final height is indeed 1396'. Also, apparently 432 PA will be marketed as a 96-story tower.

New Year's Eve? That's over 1 floor per day.

Oh, I gotcha. I think you mean 2014 though. I'd say that's pushing it a bit, but should be about right. A year from now is what I expect.

No, he's got it right. New Year's Eve 2015 is the last day of 2014.

I've never heard it done like that. Guess we learn something (pointless) every day here.

Thats wrong. New Years Eve falls in the old year, not the new year, as its the 'eve' of the New Year, meaning 'before'. New Years Eve 2015 is December 31, 2015.

He means December 31, 2014.

Correct!! At least that's how it is in the U.S.

It really doesn't matter at this point as tim1807 made it clear what he meant.

This is not halfway yet....I counted the floors (and I mean 'window openings')
yesterday...the perimeter is at 36 and the core is at 39 stories...

I think you made a little error. The top of the core is 4 apparent floors above the perimeter, so it is 40 apparent floors tall now. There are two apparent floors exposed and above them is the two apparent floor core climbing form system

I don't think so...the climbing form only forms one floor at a time. It does have some structure (work platform) above the story it is pouring...but the form itself only encompasses one level.

Yeah, that's true. The formwork of the core is obviously taller than an average floor, since it can't be just the exact height of the floor, it has to have some space. But in no way it is the height of two floors, that can be clearly seen in any picture.
