Does it bother anyone else that this building is 89 floors, and not an even 90? Is there some ordinance or law that prevents one more floor from being built? Or 11?

Yes and no. Remember space is a very valuable commodity in New York. So when you build something for the extremely rich, they are going to show off there wealth. In this case its with owning an entire floor of a building and could easily add 10 to 15 floor when you have the standard 10ft. ceiling. But I see your point. 90 is a nice even number to finish at rather than 89. But they were going for dramatics and hitting a certain price point.
Just out of curiousity what is the minimum distance allowed in NY between floor and ceiling. In LA where I am I believe its 7.5ft. So imagine how many floors you could have with those specs.

^ That 89 figure is bogus anyway. 432 PA has 85 floors, and will be marketed as a 96-storey tower. World One Mumbai f.e. is only 16 meters taller than 432 by roof, but has a whopping floor count of 117, i.e. 32 more. This tower is just über-luxury.

Now I can exactly remember how many a good man was there getting cranky about this thing getting built and heartbroken at the fallen Drake Hotel. Gradually its claim over the spot is starting to make sense.

bad weather today and not much acitivity on cams, however, the bad weather produced some cool effects on the cameras.

Eureka Tower in Melbourne is 297m and has 90 Floors! If it were the same height as this it would have 130 Floors!

List does not contain studios or one bedrooms, sorry for that. It is total of all 2+ bedrooms (11) that are unsold. Shocking...

I received several pictures that I can't seem to upload but one that is very interesting shows the "Tent" area, on 57th St about 8 floors above sidewalk sitting on a mostly glass atrium.
