I apologize if this question has been asked but I'm confused about the installation of the windows and what sort of process is taking place. I notice that many of those spaces are covered by a reddish covering that appears to be set back a little from the concrete exterior. I also see that there are white coverings on many more of the window spaces, some of them are flush with the concrete while others are set back. Then I've noticed several window spaces that look like they might actually have glass installed because they seem to be reflecting light. I can't seem to figure out the installation process at all because almost all buildings have cladding or windows that start working their way up from the bottom as the construction gets higher and this seems very different. Could someone explain that to me? Thanks and I appreciate those great pics!

It's pour day! Perimeter is being poured currently and there are 3 concrete trucks at the base. More work on the Apple facility as well.

Well, from what I've seen watching the cams, the orange covering is placed where there are no windows in place for weather protection and the white covering is placed on windows that are in place to protect them from dirt, smog, etc. The only exception I see is on about the 10th floor, 57th Street fašade where there is some white covering that is not flush with the fašade. I'm not exactly sure why that is so, but I believe it probably indicates that the window panes for that floor are sitting by their slots waiting to be placed, with the white covering protecting them. I could be wrong, but that certainly could be the case.

The building is taller than most of the buildings in my closest major city, Philadelphia. If this building was in my city, the current height of it right now would be between the Commerce Place buildings and the Blue Cross building.

Lol. I'm in Philly now visiting my wife's sister's family for a mini- mini vacation and last night we checked out this Xmas organ light show @ Macy's & I was talking to my brother in law about the comcast center. This guy over heard our convo and joined in and he was telling me about the huge screen @ the comcast center which is really cool.

He also told me it's the tallest building in all of the East! (Obviously he's never heard of NY) I just nodded and said oh yea & went our separate ways! lol

New York City is in a league of its own.

Maybe he sees the East Coast without New York, standing separately far above the rest.

That's the way I look at it.

Unfortunately, the taller this building gets the more industrial looking it becomes! The fašades of the building looks so plain, there's not really much interesting at all in the look. No colors, textures or shapes to give it a sense of style.

The style is the overall building itself, with the clean forms, not sculptures.
