Haven't we already discussed about the exterior design of the building?

By the way, the former 56th Street crane is now only a few feet tall.

No one will confuse Atlanta with Manhattan, least of all Atlantans, but it's hardly Mayberry.

I think they actually prefer to be called Florida Crackers
But yeah, there is definitely some hard core, good ol' boys down there. Usually they prefer to live more on the outskirts like Seffner or Plant City where the Trailer parks thrive. I grew up in north or as its now known, New Tampa, simply because my Father couldn't stand the po-dunk rednecks. He was more of the, smoke weed, listen to classic rock types
My other home is now in Lakeland, but who the hell knows where that's at
Anyways, I hear the off topic police walking down the hall so I'll leave it at that

I arranged to go on the sales/maketing presentation a few days ago and here are my initial comments. I'll post some "unauthorized pictures", next week.

1. They are selling New York and America, as much as real estate so it's geared to foreign buyers who may want to own a piece of the dream.

2. Absolutely stunning. Totally state of the art cgi/video presentation. When looking at an apt the presentation is contolled by an ipad and is projected on the top of a large black cube about 4ft around and also on a 10x10ft secreen, same size as the widows, and a model of the building about 6 ft tall lights up the windows of the apartment that you are looking at.

3. There are several double height floors (30ft), that are counted as one. They are the pool, fitness center, resident dining, and the mechanical floors. This probably accounts for the difference in floor counts that are talked about.

4. The double height mechanical floors are open with the round structure in the middle as in the renderings and will be lighted up all night. This will make the building really stand out in the night sky. Very original. All other building that are lit at night turn off the lights around midnight or 2 AM.

5. Double height floors are I think 14-16, and below that is mixed use retail and office. The structues on the Park Ave and 57th St are both retail and have no direct access to the building. There is NO Apple store.

6. Only about 10 2+ bedroom apts are unsold. The overall building is 52% sold so most of the unsold are studios and one bedrooms.

7. First closings will be middle of 2015 for the lower floors.

8. Construction is two weeks ahead of schedule and average time per floor has been 3-4 days.

That's it for now. Comments about the movie later.
