Highest occupied floor doesn't exactly equate roof height. I realize SSP has your figure for roof height, but I'd think some MEP floors would be in that top section, and know that the antenna at least goes through it. This is at least a non-open air crown. Atop it is an open air crown however (where the box with X bracing is), and the culmination of the original height with the original spire. Comparatively, One Astor and Times Square Tower are just under 750 feet tall, and the roof (not extensions) of NY Times Tower is also just under 750 feet. Compare that to 4 Times Square and you'll see it's much taller.

The first picture is basically the opposite of the view I saw from my hotel room a few days ago; thanks for posting! It looks about the same distance, except this view was from the south, while my view was from the north, at West 57th.

By the way, I noticed something: while looking at 432 Park Avenue from ground level, the building looked about the same height from the "black building" (450 Park Avenue); maybe it looked like 3-5 floors higher, but from a view from a few hundred feet tall it looked like it was 10 floors taller. Funny how our eyes play tricks on us.

Btw...is this visible from central park ground level yet??
Yep, from a few places -- the best vantage point when I was last there was across from the baseball fields, WNW of 432 Park Avenue. Also visible from the rocky outcroppings in front of One57.

I crossed the Williamsburg Bridge for the first time in about a month this morning, and you could see 432!! It was really hazy, otherwise I would have taken a picture.

Wow, it will be the best visible from this angle.

Very nice shot, taken from the Queensboro Plaza station in Long Island City. Nice view of a Main Street bound subway train coming into the station with 432 Park Avenue growing in the background. Right now, it looks like just another tall building in Manhattan, but when it reaches full-height, it will be quite a view from the Queens bound - upper level of this station. One 57 peeks up just beyond to the right.

If they don't raise the 53rd camera soon enough we will be looking at this in a few months.

By the way, I find it impressive how the general opinion on this tower here changed from "WTF it's an ugly POS" to "This one's amazing, it will look amazing on the NYC skyline". You guys should read what the folks on WiredNYC write about it, they're literally ripping it to millions of shreds

I still think it's a POS. The only reason I'm enjoying watching it rise is because it's so tall and thin. Once 220 CPS gets underway, that's the one I'll be looking forward to seeing.

Nah, most of the people who didn't like it simply unsubscribed while its fans (and those interested in its construction) stayed.

Yeah I still don't like it, either. Wouldn't use the term "POS", but it's like a filler on steroids to me...

Too hazy to see the actual pour going on, but the concrete trucks on site indicate that it's happening.

I still think Verre will be the only construction nicer than this, maybe.

I'll wait for the glass towers over at HY/MW, I like those better.

Well, that's actually the same case with me as well. Maybe I wouldn't go that far and call it a POS, but it certainly has been leaving me unimpressed since the day the design was revealed, regardless of the beauty minimalism can produce (I'm not denying that). However, I think the construction is interesting to watch, because whether I like it or not, this one's going to be a crucial part of the NYC skyline's look and seeing it slowly but surely progressing up to its huge height certainly is exciting.

The architectural design is really minimal, however, it still adds a certain beauty to the New York skyline.

432 Park and One57 will certainly add to the Midtown skyline. Midtown hasn't had a huge supertall construction boom like this since the 1930's.

Looking real nice in this render. Hopefully it hasn't been uploaded, or at least no one remembers it.

Wow! Best render of the tower, imo. Soon that will be a reality!
