When do buildings usually announce their height officialy? Since this is under preparations shouldn't that be soon?

That's a good question Kanto. As in the case of Burj Khalifa; it wasn't announced until the building officially opened 2 years ago. I'm sure this will happen with the Kingdom Tower also. The official height figures could be given at any time from the announcement of the project to the completion. Even then, the height may not be exactly correct. As I have always said, blueprints don't lie and I don't trust a height of a building until someone has viewed the actual drawings. Let's hope this one will exceed 400m!

I hope this building won't go Burj Khalifa style, cause I'm dying to know the final height. This project is my favourite project in NYC

And the best proposal in decades gets a height reduction, sigh.

Did anyone notice that it's called 432 Park because it's 432m tall? Recall that The Drake's address, on which site the new tower will sit, was 440 Park.

Whoa whoa whoa, calling the Aon Center ugly is a little over the top! I think the Aon center is one of the most beautiful, simple, graceful buildings out there. And it gives good contrast to the Chicago skyline.

Sorry I'm just responding, SSC took me to that page and I had to respond.

I think that Aon is fine. My point was quite simply that it's disingenuous to call 432 Park hideous and Aon stunning. 432 is 40 percent taller, much thinner and has a sleek, modern metal and glass facade, together with six floating towers.

I think the Aon Center in Los Angeles is shorter, fatter and uglier than the Aon Center in Chicago.

Ok good! And I agree about this tower, this one is awesome! I hope it can withstand hurricane-force winds though. We must remember NYC is very prone to hurricanes, so i hope that is all taken into account.

This 432m tower will have very high-end materials. The developers will be seeking $5,000/sf for lower floor units and $10,000/sf for units on higher floors.

They might try the $10.000/sf, but I really don't trust that the market will accept it.

Wow, this could point to the 432.8 meter height figure being indeed true I just hope this isn't just coincidence

Btw, I think this building will rewrite the world records for penthouse prices. After all, it sits on a prestigious spot in the no.1 city on this planet and most of all is far taller than any other residential tower in NYC

You clearly know nothing about NY real estate. They're getting $10k/sf at One 57, and this is a better location.
