As an uruguayan, i do feel proud of Rafael Viñoly, architect of this beautiful building.
This superb and sleek tower will be a new gem for NYC...

So now 432 Park Avenue has 96 floors, I'm confused it went from 85 to 88 to 89 to 96

Elliman to add sales firepower to 432 Park
Brought in as co-sales agent for tallest residential building in Western Hemisphere

Macklowe Properties and CIM Group have officially brought Douglas Elliman Development Marketing on board to help with sales and marketing efforts at 432 Park Avenue. Elliman has been serving as a consultant on the luxury condominium project right from the outset, but will now be its co-exclusive sales agent, a spokesperson for 432 Park told The Real Deal exclusively.
Elliman’s “evolving and expanding role will be an asset to us as we complete the sellout of this fantastic building,” Richard Wallgren, 432 Park’s director of sales, said in a statement. Wallgren will continue to oversee sales at the tower, which is located between 56th and 57th streets and is slated to rise to a height of 1,396 feet – making it the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere upon completion.
The 96-story Rafael Viñoly-designed tower, said Douglas Elliman Development Marketing chief executive Susan de Franca, is a “truly unique property of architectural distinction that will forever change the Manhattan skyline. We look forward to our continued collaboration on 432 Park Avenue and to being part of its tremendous success story.”

Recent sales efforts at the project – which Harry Macklowe has referred to as the “culmination” of his life – include sending sales representatives to Moscow’s Ritz-Carlton hotel, which has a reputation of being a popular hangout for Russian oligarchs. Over half of the tower’s 104 units have already sold, according to a project spokesperson, though half-floor apartments starting at $17.25 million and full-floor penthouses starting at $74.5 million are still up for grabs.
The decision to bring Elliman on at 432 Park continues a recent shift away from marketing big-ticket projects completely in-house. In November, the Related Companies announced a $5 billion partnership with Corcoran Sunshine, the new development marketing wing of the Corcoran Group, to handle the sales of the residential component of its Hudson Yards project as well as other New York City projects.

It's being marketed as a 96-story tower. The real floor count is 85 (although they count 2 mechanical levels as one floor). For example, the Trump World Tower has 72 floors, yet the elevator in that building shows 90.

What's going on out there, why aren't they building anything up there ?

Its almost as if they have halted... How long does each floor take to rise ? Or is it just this floor that has taken for so long ?

...Been waching it live for some time now... From the EarthCam, in which I can't get a link to (page doesn't let me) right now...

Keep getting this: Post denied. New posts are limited by number of URLs it may contain and checked if it doesn't contain forbidden words. Don't know why...?

The core jumped about a week ago; the weather is currently very cold stalling concrete pours and stuff

and that's because you're a new user, it's just an automatic precaution so that spam bots can't keep posting over and over again

Boy, this is one hell of a winter to be a construction worker in New York. I don't envy those guys at any time of year, but this winter is really something.

Ok thanks ... To me it looks pretty basic weather (or a bit milder) that you get here in Finland in the winter... Maybe that's why we don't have that many skyscrapers here... :/

I gotta say, I like this building a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing it completed, so much.(!)
I'm just a little impatient I guess...

Been studying New York City a lot lately, via: Google Earth(3D) & SkyscraperPage.com and this forum...

It's become one of my favourite cities in the world, that I feel I'm beginning to get to know a little better... I've been to London and Paris in this decade (for real) but I haven't been to New York (in real) yet... Only virtually and through all of the movies and TV series...
Now I'm really hoping that the next BIG city I visit will be New York, the Big Apple !

...The most awesome city in the world... Where anything can happen...

To build a skyscraper in these proportions (so thin & insanely high) is proof of it... New York's still got it.
