See, what had happened was...

(Stupid SSP)[/QUOT

I love these updates,, and they're going to end REAL soon
You have followed this forum, from the beginning until now,, ( as well as I) providing the people with your updates... I want to personally thank you,, but the ones (buildings) that are left, aside from Trump and 8 Spruce.. Are icons.

Great job from the start

Is it me or is this tower unusually hard to spot from a distance for a (currently) 820ft structure?

Well it is extremely slim. That could have something to do with it.

It kinda makes me worry that it won't stand out enough on the skyline but I guess NY is one of the few cities that would make a 1400 foot building look insignificant

It won't be that way for very long. I like to say, it is just now becoming a teenager on it's way to adulthood. Soon enough, it will be towering over pretty much everything else, and will be very easy to spot from a distance

I love this one! Looks like 432park is staring at the ESB and 1WTC and saying "I'm coming for you".
Is it just me?,, and nice pics Ghostface,, but this picture does 1WTC Very Much Justice,, It looks Incredibly Massive in the distance, spire or not, makes me kinda wonder why ESB's antennae (looks very permanent from this view) isn't counted I guess that's a whole nother issue..

On topic,, 432 is going to make it's place on the skyline VERY Soon!!!..

So for some reason I never thought to ask it, and from what I've seen, no one else has either. But does this building have a tuned mass damper or some sort of stabilizing device? It seems it would be necessary since it is so thin and so tall.

[referring to 432 Park]As with most high-rise buildings, controlling the perceptibility of lateral motion building in high wind conditions is a key design focus. To that end, a series of openings through the structure were developed through wind-tunnel testing that improve the aerodynamics of the building. In addition, two tuned-mass dampers were designed to further reduce lateral accelerations to acceptable levels for the occupant's comfort.

It will also be white. With the scaffolding and construction equipment removed, it will be much brighter than the surrounding buildings.

He means the pollution of the city will stain the surface. Even then, it will still be significantly brighter than anything around it.

I really doubt it will have that great an effect. I know some white concrete buildings that looks just as white 70 years later.
