Not at all. But at least the buildings that will have a huge impact on the skyline shouldn't be an eyesore like this one.

Off topic, but I thoroughly enjoyed the book more than the movie.

New York looks incredibly Blade Runner-like here:

This shot looks great from the Tribeca cam earlier:

And you can finally see the very tip of 432PAs core in this screen cap:

432 Park poking its way out of the Midtown plateau. Taken by me this morning from the Williamsburg Bridge.

that panorama truly shows how tall 432 Park has become. Within a few months One 57 will be surpassed.

Cool picture from atop 30 Rock Desertpunk, I wanted to see that.
Now even with the height of 30 rock observatory.
It is the third tower that breaks the horizon line as seen from there, on the northern side.
Three more will follow...

Another one from across the river

Me too. I love buildings with black cladding, such as the Sears Tower, John Hancock Center, and Trump World Tower.

It certainly will but One 57 along with remain the better looking building of the two. This building has absolutely no style and is rather ugly actually, the only thing that makes it special at all is its height!

You could say the same thing about one of the twin towers and most people loved those buildings, and this will be slightly taller to boot.

Hey folks, time for a new diagram update. The building has currently 56 apparent floors and is 264 meters or 868 feet tall. It is currently the 9th tallest building in New York City

Roof height used below

The footprint of 432 Park is insane, it's like a big a needle.

Absolutely, but it's not as extreme as it is in the SkyscraperPage rendering. They have it as a 20:1 ratio when it's really 15:1.
The actual width of 432 Park Avenue is about the same as the main portion of Chrysler, but several hundred feet taller.
