Wow, it's gigantic, not much else to say. My only real complaint thus far is no crown. I would love something, anything, at this height really.

FS2, I posted that image on SSP, obviously credited you. Well done!

It will look different than that in real life though, a little taller and a little wider.

This 432m floating tower design with the sleek metal and glass facade will be great.

I agree. It is better than just stacking floors like this version.

Yes the spacing helps a lot with balancing terrible proportions of that tower.

Since when are mega-tall, slender towers terribly proportioned? Do you prefer short and fat?

You know there is something called golden ratio. And its not just somebody's strange idea. It describes for example the ratio between the length of arm to forearm, it is present almost everywhere in nature. And people simply like when it is respected in surrounding world. The Twins of NY were close to it. Aon has similar proportions too. Most of the towers are at least close to it, and if they arent they are tapering towers, like burj or Kingdom tower in Jeddah. The 443 is a box but yet it is extremely far from the ratio. It's very long and yet extremely thin, and thus looks strange. But the spacing makes something great to that tower because now it appears that we have several blocks with perfect proportions one on top of an another. I'm sure designers deliberately introduced that solution to help with the towers proportions. It really looks much worse without that effect for the reasons I just explained. I hope you all get the idea .

btw since you hate so much "fat" towers you must hate new wtc tower, don't you ?

I wouldn't call any 400m+ tower fat.

The golden ratio has nothing to do with this. It looks like a business card. Application to architecture is best exemplified by the Parthenon. Aon and Twins were/are long boxes that have nothing to do with the golden ratio.

I didn't say they fit exactly with golden ratio, but the truth is the farther you go from it the more unnatural things looks, especially buildings. And actually 432 sections proportions are very close to the ratio. And without them building would look like one unproportional stick.

Then you don't get the idea of proportions, which is independent from height you know.. Tower of any height may be fat.

If a tower is 400 m tall and 200 m wide than it is fat... no tower like that exists though

Though there are several fat towers in the 300m+ range. For example the Moscow Federation Tower, Pyongyang Slaughterhotel, Hanoi Keangam Landmark Tower or Dubai Index

I agree with you and patrykus that proportions are important for a tower but I think architecture and height are far more important and this tower is incredible in both of these factors
