Awesome. How much time do you think it will be until this building reaches 1000 ft?

A few months, probably some time in the summer.

Actually, it could happen even earlier than that.

Still about 9 more weeks for the summer to oficially begin (june 21st)

Only 8 more jumps for the building to surpass the 1000 ft mark (one of them could happen tomorrow)

With this building speeding up on the last two or three weeks, it has reach an speed of about 3 floors every 2 weeks. If that speed continues, it could reach 1000 ft as soon as 5 - 6 weeks, so about late may, early june.

In the second last picture - Never was able to figure out where the old Pepsi building was in NYC. Nice to see this future modern icon is only a few streets from an old modernist classic.

Core forms are being raised right now. Surpassing New York by Gehry in 3-2-1..

Both the core and crane have risen! Making this tower 274 meters tall or 899 feet!

This means that it has just exceeded Coach Towers future final height

Can't believe how quick it's going up, it'll be the tallest building in New York in no time! I must schedule a visit for sometime soon after completion - what a sight it will be!

New York By Gehry was already surpassed last week.

From Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint. First, I have to clarify that the building is not seen in this image yet, so don't look for it. But, if my calculation on GE is right, it should begin to peek out behind Citicorp in just a few weeks, that would be a nice angle to photograph, with those three geometric monoliths (Citicorp, Trump and 432) making the end of the perspective of that avenue, in case somebody lives nearby.

I really hope I am able to go to New York one day. It will be years in the future, so who knows what New York will look like by then!
You inspired me to put together a couple of graphs.

And here is the same, with more realistic colors:

You were right MattTheTubaGuy... And ParkAve is even a bit higher and thinner than 2 WTC:s put together. It's nice, very nice indeed.
