Nice! Also the diamond tower in Jeddah will pass this one whenever that one completed...not sure about 217 west 57th street since it's part hotel and nordstrom is occupying a lot of space. I believe 85% of the building has to be residential to be considered in the list.

I don't know, but yes 217 west 57th will be taller anyway.

That's the cyclone twist by Alice Aycock in park avenue. Park Avenue is known for showcasing some great pieces of art. I have not seen this one yet but it will be there until July

Wait, the pieces of art AREN'T permanent? At least I'm not really fond of sculptures, just architecture.

I have a similar photo, except it was taken on the day of April 5 (which was still cloudy) and it was ever so slightly closer to 432 Park Avenue. This building has grown a LOT since then, and it's not even May yet.

And also, there are 3 floors with the blue cladding that aren't lit up at night. Before it was only one floor. Why is that?

New core jump!

I thought that since april 22nd, when apparently there was a malfunction on the climbing system, it didn't grow anymore, but I was confused because it seems two more floors since the captures published that day, reading the thread carefully, I realized there was indeed a jump on april 24th, announced by IamtheSTIG.

Anyway, with today's jump, it reached 930 ft or 283.5 m.
That means new milestones, it surpassed Citigroup Center and 40 Wall Street.
And it also has reached 2/3 of its final height.

Just 4 more jumps and it will reach 300 meters, thus becoming a supertall.
5 more jumps to surpass 1000 ft and One57.

Great! It is moving on up! 60 apparent floors; 63 and 64 are the mechanicals again so when we get there it should slow down slightly like it did with the other mechanical levels

It seems like it just surpassed Citygroup.

I'll understand if I get complaints on this one, but I'm a roofie.

^Well technically the cranes are probably higher than chryslers spire so it's officially a taller structure on the skyline

Re:On the Windows:

The Windows appear to be black with my Eagle eyes!!! Lol. Some of the windows have a blue film and some have a green film. It’s very obvious. Some windows you can see the green film scratched off a bit and can visibly see the glass is blackish underneath and not bluish as some here had suggested.

My guess is that the blue film is on the inside to protect the glass from scratches during construction and interior work, while the white is on the outside to block the view from other buildings (for some reason). The white seems to stop at about the level of the highest neighboring windows.

I'm so glad I visited N.Y.C before this building/chimney destroyed the skyline.

I visited NYC over the weekend and it looks pretty massive. First time I've laid eyes on it. Considering that it still has almost 500 feet to go, it's going to be reeeaaaallllly tall and skinny. It's not my favorite, but it won't be a blight as I had previously feared.
