Those photos are fantastic!

Glad to see another core jump today. Next one means this is finally a supertall!

The view from Pulaski is nice but doesn't compare to the view from kosciuszko bridge. I can't wait until the replaced suspension/cable bridge is finished; and finally have a bike path, and walkway

Sorry for the double-post, but I took an unplanned ride to Roosevelt Island today for a closer look. TBH, I was expecting it to be a little more imposing. Good thing it's got a ways to go!

The view in Chinatown walking up on the Bowery is amazing too. Should try to get some snaps one day!

I've always been considering moving either there or Flushing when I move back again. I think it would be nice to live in an asian neighborhood this time around (me being asian myself), especially for the cheap and real good asian food and groceries. Pretty tired of living in uptown, harlem and washington heights (though, harlem was way better than the heights); lived uptown for almost 3 years. Living in an asian and more relaxed (and inexpensive) neighborhood has always been my dream. Forget lower manhattan or north bk, lol..that shts waay too expensive.
No I actually live in Washington Heights and love it up here, I'm Haitian-American so it more suits my Latin Caribbean needs . Just went to Sunset Park cuz I heard it's now the largest chinatown in NYC (just edging out Queen's Flushings) and I wanted to scope things out. It's so awesome that NYC has THREE bustling chinatowns. Seemed a cool and unique neighborhood and not far from all the other awesome Brooklyn neighborhoods and the craziness of lower Manhattan. I would def choose it over Flushing, Queens.

Yeah I can see why you wouldn't enjoy the area around 157th and st nick. It's sort of a food desert around there. I'm all the way up by 181st and west of Broadway, which has a lot of restaurants, bars, and brunch spots and such. And I work around Columbia-Presbyterian (168th) so there's always a lot of new things to try out between the two areas. And by where I live is a big mix. West of broadway is mostly white (including many russians and orthodox jews), but there are still a lot of dominicans and many other ethnicities as well. East of broadway is majorly dominican but generally not so many of the hardcore wannabe-gangsta type I find south of 168th st.

Sunset Park is where you should go then. East of 7th Ave is pretty much 100% chinese with even little kids speaking to each other in chinese, west of 7th ave is heavily latin (all different ethnicities, but the more north you go in the hood the more Mexican/central American it gets) with little kids speaking to each other in Spanish...and they all come together in the great park looking overlooking the city. Damn I love NY, it's just amazing!

Asking about current height is an understandable question. Asking how many remaining feet, well that just proves that you either suck at simple math or are lazy.

thanks...besides the continued concrete and rebar deliveries, traffic on street has really picked up recently with increasing delivery of build-out materials primarily steel studs for partitions, large scale copper and cast iron pipes for plumbing and truck loads of electrical materials.

they are on the 63rd floor; 27 floors left!...pass 7 months(since October) it has taken 27 floors. Back then members here were throwing out words like "on hold" because the mechanicals were moving so slow...It seems like they got the rhythm of the mechanicals now and the fact that the summer months coming compared to the winter. We should see this tower topped out in roughly 6 months, that's probably early November!!!

Now that someone has pointed it out, I can't get over that one flush window...

This doesn't quite explain completely why but does illustrate how it will appear. This is the level of the dinning terrace outside the restaurant. On the far left you will see the corner window in question. All the other openings are doorways. this one quadrant has window flush to exterior wall. the windows above are upper curse of the double height restaurant and are inset, flush with interior wall as you can see in lower image of the interior. My guess is that this one window in the corner is maybe a private room and they made the window flush to provide more interior space in that room which is behind the far wall in the lower picture.

According to some renderings I saw, it seems the roadbed of the replacement won't be as high as the present one, since it is no longer neccesary for it to be that high. I don't know if that would affect the view from there.

Back on topic, Although it is hard to tell because it is very cloudy, but a while ago the clouds lifted a little and the top was visible for seconds, I am pretty sure they jumped the core today.

If that's so, today the building officially became a Supertall, reaching 302 meters or 992 ft. With the next jump, that should happen next week, it will break also the 1000 ft mark and will surpass One57 reaching 1007,5 ft.
