This glass is covered in foil, isn't it? I hate blue reflective glass, hope it will be without color.

It's more that the holes are covered with foil. And to make it look a bit more funny they used different colours.

this has been discussed many times...the actual glass is green, the blue you see is BlueGuard protective film, the white you see is a heavy plastic over the top of the Blueguard...the orange is just netting

That skybridge in in Washington Heights posted by streetscapeer is simply epic. I wasn't even aware of its existence.

Does anyone know, are they gonna put observatory on the top when they finish? I guess not, because it's not kind of building to place an observatory, but nevertheless i think it would be great site from top of that building.

You pretty much answered your own question; it's a residential building...but nonetheless we are getting two new observation decks with 30 Hudson and 1WTC in next few years. So we will then have 4 options to choose from

Awesome pics! That's not a view often posted here. One question, what is the name of the building in front of One57 in these pics, that kind of steps down in a "S" like pattern?

Thanks man, it looks great in the above pics. But jeez, bedrooms smaller than what my 2 year old currently has and all around small floor plans for that kind of money. I suppose my idea of luxury is different then other peoples. Guess I could never live in a concrete jungle.

And this is a qualifier how?

Architecture is architecture, and while the skyscraper is a category particular to only some cities that doesn't mean visitors and enthusiasts from smaller cities aren't allowed opinions on the design of a structure. Heck, most of the best urban centers in Europe don't have skyscrapers. Look at Boston, DC...

Boston doesn't have skyscrapers? Nothing huge granted but it has quite a few 150-250 meter buildings.

But what you say is very true, my favorite city is Barcelona and the tallest building is about 150 meters and there aren't many near that high

Maybe your right but I refuse to accept that until the final glass is revealed. If it is green well... that sucks because I don't think this tower would look good with green glass. I hope it's more of a clear white or even blue would beat green in my book.
