Those mechanical floors went up fast. I had the tower topped out in November but at this rate, it might top out in October.

And at the same time of the day.

This pic seems to be a few week old. The tower is taller right now.

I was in NY last weekend and my relatives found it a bit odd that my top priority was to visit the site of this building. So I went alone.

Haha, I am visiting NYC in Sept, and I am making it a priority to visit this building too, I am wondering if it will be topped out by then

Was this picture taken when 432 had already reached the 1007 ft mark? I ask because 432 still appears about 15 ft shorter than One57 from this vantage point. Is there a difference in land elevation between those 2 points in Manhattan?

That nice sunrise pic by Dean Askin is from Feb 22, 2014, so it's 3 months old.

Okay for those that wanted pictures of the uncovered windows.
This first picture is of the two lower windows that have been uncovered for many months. They are however covered with white plastic on the inside.
the second picture is of a window a bit higher up in which the white plastic on the outside has partially peeled. (allpictures taken this morning) And now the scoop the third picture shows a worker removing the Blueguard from some of the windows (one and half so far) on the west side of the building, so it appears you will all know very soon the true color of the windows.Based on my observations I can only conclude the they are green and when fully uncovered will appear grey-green.

Thanks for swinging by to get those! That white interior covering explains a lot about why they appear so green once the Blueguard is removed. If you hold up a white surface directly against glass, you're going to see its color very vividly (and most glass is, as we know, at least a bit green). In practice, once those coverings are removed, the color will be significantly subdued as light passes freely through.

I do not think so, the green looks to have its own covering, because you can see in some spots its torn and the glass is of no color. I could be wrong, but thats what i noticed.

Took a few this morning, I think its about two weeks since my last set of photos of 432. I managed to get a few shots when the "gates" were open for a truck entering.

I have observed the same as well as that is my conclusion. It is clearly visible to my naked eye under that green scratched off is the a normal colored window. As I noted earlier as per my observation a month ago, there are some windows with blue guard and some with green guard, film or whatever you call em. Perhaps the windows have 2 film coverings over the real glass. (Outer layer = Blue and Inner layer = Green)

In any case, we shall see soon enough.
