I rather like Astor Plaza, that one's the basis for a costume I'm working on this year. If I can get it done it's gonna rock, my first attempt ever at building armor!
And I like the XYZ buildings, they work well together.

Arguably, that may be it's best feature. Nothing fancy. Just pure height!

I wish the top really looked like that with the elongated windows

That's a great view. Taken from the north of New Jersey, right?

Here it is as completed. Click the thumbnail to have it to the original resolution. Photobucket automatically resizes it.

A Michael Jackson styled glittery arm band of sorts!

The double height crown would have definitely improved this design greatly. It could have become a noteworthy and signature feature on the skyline. Too bad.

New Core jump. This time undoubtedly a whole full jump.
So the building should be at 1038.5 ft.
One jump away to surpass both Chrysler and NYT Building to the very top of their spires.

I'm a layman when it comes to architecture, but that one little change makes the building way more appealing! And can you imagine the price they could get for 2 story penthouses on the top of this thing?

Saw this when I was flying into JFK over Queens. Literally the only thing visible in the skyline from that distance was the ESB, WTC, and 432...really its making waaaay more of an impact that what I thought it would. Up close its just stunning. I'll get some photos up soon.
